1.1.2018 – official start date of the project "Narrow Gauge Railways as Attractions and Gates to Nature" (RailGate) SKHU/1601/1.1/031. Project is designed for two years and main objective is to start cooperation between cross-border partners, improve services and marketing of historic narrow gauge railways, and increase their attractiveness through developed Master plan and direct investments.

31. January – first meeting of representatives of both project partners after official start of the project was held. Discussions on further cooperation, systems of work personal responsibilities were discussed and set.

Janaury – March – working groups are created on both sides of border. Teams of experts for master plan were created; project management staff started to work and regularly met. First data for analytical part of Master plan were collected.
February – March – several Public procurements were completed mainly for the webpage, publicity, technical equipment, a new locomotive for DŽK.

March – Kick off meeting was prepared and the date was set on 7th of April.
