Railways in Miskolc and Košice published development document Master Plan

DŽK and the Lillafuredi Forest Railway in Miskolc have published a joint development document - Master Plan. Document is the result of the joint work of an expert team composed of representatives of both railways.

The seminar was opened by the project manager R. Bauer, introducing suggested agenda.
R. Bauer explained the main goal the seminar a welcomed the guests.
Vice mayor of the city of Košice Lucia Gurbaľová and mayor of the city part Košice North František Ténai than opened the seminar. The whole seminar was simultaneously translated to Hungarian language.
During the first part presentations on Slovak part of the master plan were held. Four presentations were presented by speakers. Representatives of DŽK presented mainly legislative environment of narrow gauge railways in Slovakia and concentrated on the proposals ideas and visions of the Master plan. After first two presentations Imrich Tokoly of City Forest Company presented plans of recreational use of city forests and architect Martin Jerguš presented ideas for further development of the Košice Children Railway.
After the break there were four presentations from the Hungarian partners of the project. Among them there were presentations of city of Miškolc, Lillafuredi railway foundation and Lillafuredi railway.
After two blocks of presentations there was lunch for participants during which they broke to working groups and continued in groups in discussions.
